Abbie Lee Talley Price, 72, of Phenix City, AL was called home by her Lord and Savior Tuesday at her home. He saw her pain and suffering and blessed her with relief. She dedicated her life to His music. She earned her BA in Music Education from CSU in 1992 and worked at Muscogee County DFCS for a number of years. She served as choir director, pianist and organist at Hillside United Methodist Church where she was a lifelong member.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00pm EST, on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Hillside UMC.
Abbie was born in Columbus, GA on January 25, 1943 to Mr. and Mrs. Charles “Bill” E. Talley, Sr.
Other than her beloved father, she is preceded in death by her husband CSM (Ret) James H. Price, Jr.
She is survived by her precious mother, Abbie Lee Macon of Columbus, GA. Her siblings, Barbara Talley Smith (Barrett) of Pine Mountain and Charles E. Talley, Jr. She is also survived by her three children, Alan T. Hayes (Rhonda) of Augusta, GA; Melanie Hayes King (Bob) of Phenix City and Jennifer Hayes Easter (Tim Peterson) of Smiths.
She was a loving Grandma, Abbie, Grammy and Wee Wee to 12 adoring grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her Guardian Angel, Zaneta “Zee” Brown, CNA who was her best friend and confidant; many extended family members.
