Agnes Juanita “Nita” Swails, 88, of Phenix City, AL passed away early Saturday morning, January 24, 2015 in the comfort of her home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm EST Wednesday at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Betty Biggs officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Swails was born November 15, 1926 in Coffee County, AL to the late Clancy Nolin and Loamer Foxworth Nolin. She retired as a R. N. for Cobb Hospital and also was the owner/operator of Moo & Nanna's Country Cooking. She was a member of the old Riverview Assembly of God Church in Phenix City and attended Bush Road Assembly of God Church in Smiths Station. She was a former member of the band at the Senior Center and a member of Senior Gallops Citizen Center in Columbus, GA. Nita was always known for her beautiful smile and she dearly loved people. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, George “Jack” Earl Swails, Sr., a son, George Earl Swails, Jr., three sisters, two brothers, and great grandson, Benjamin Swails. She is survived by a daughter, Joan Fazenbaker and husband Austin of Phenix City, AL, (8) grandchildren, Terrell Carroll, Jr. (Christy), Amanda McDonald (Ray), Jason Swails (Kim), Angela Privette (Ronnie), Melissa Hattaway (Joyce Cooper), and Donna Eckstein, Tom Hatfield and Suzanne ; (11) great grandchildren, Terrell, III, Karley, Casey, Mikayia, Dakota, Kayla, Caleb, Jessica, Chris, Evelyn, and TJ and host of dearly beloved nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
