Agnes Marie Mitchell

Agnes Marie Mitchell, 84, of Midland, GA passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.  A funeral service will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Saturday, September 7, 2019 beginning at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bud Rupel officiating.  A private interment will be held at a later time.

Agnes was born on April 23, 1935 in Frisco City, AL to the late George and Martha Wright.  During her life, she touched the hearts of many people.  As a faithful member of Evangel Temple, she was a caring friend and sister in Christ.  Her gifts of crafting and creating flower arrangements brought smiles and joy.  Agnes was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved her family.  Her favorite times were those spent with her children and grandchildren.  Above all, Agnes loved the Lord and served Him with her whole heart.  She enjoyed reading the Bible and being a blessing to those around her.  This precious lady will be greatly missed and she has most assuredly left a legacy for her family.

Other than her parents, Agnes is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Max Mitchell; two brothers; and six sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Kim Watson (Bobby) of Midland, GA; sons, Marty Mitchell (Janet) of Orange, CA and Rusty Mitchell (Brigitte) of Lawton, OK; seven grandchildren:  Shane Watson, Amberly Bullock, Jenna Covington (Derek), Jason Mitchell (Kristen), Joel Mitchell (Vicky), Brittany Holmstrom (Scott), Christopher Mitchell; five great-grandchildren:  Avery Bullock, Rebecca Covington, Addison Mitchell, Gavin Holmstrom, Ellie Holmstrom; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Columbus Hospice House, 7020 Moon Rd, Columbus, GA 31909.
