Alice Naomi Rowl

Alice Naomi Rowl, 77, of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 while at her home in Phenix City.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EDT Friday, June 17, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Pastor Jeff Vaughn officiating.  A private interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.

Mrs. Rowl was born January 19, 1939 in Talladega, AL to the late Jordan Compton Williams and Onie Daniel Williams.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whom loved her family deeply.  She was a member of Seale Road Baptist Church and had a passion for the love of Christ, her church, and her church family.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Gene Rowl, a son, Charles Alan Rowl, two brothers, Marshal Williams, and James “Bud” Williams.

She is survived by four sons, David L Rowl and wife Lucy of Hubert, NC, Darryl G. Rowl and wife Waraporn of Everett, WA, Steven A Rowl and wife Sherry of Hiram, GA, and Michael G. Rowl of Coca Beach, FL; two sisters, Jane Gonzalez and husband Val, and Peggy Hillhouse and husband Gene, both of Columbus, GA, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and many caring friends.
