Allen Lee Hirsch

Allen Lee Hirsch, 85, of Phenix City, AL passed away in the comfort of his home late Wednesday afternoon, July 22, 2015 in Phenix City, AL. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am EDT Saturday morning, July 25, 2015 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. M. R. Hamilton officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday. Mr. Hirsch was born September 14, 1929 in Burnstad, ND to the late Herbert G. Hirsch and Bertha Pfeisle Hirsch. He was the owner / operator of A L Hirsch Appliance Repair for 60 years. Mr. Hirsch was a Veteran of the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division serving during the Korean War. He love working and helping people, he was deeply devoted to his family and loved being a provider. He was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church in Phenix City. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Willie Pearl Bass Hirsch and one sister. He is survived by his children, Gloria Massey of Warner Robins, GA, Robert Medley and wife Liz of Columbus, GA, Susie Johnson and husband Dave of Chattanooga, TN, and Allen L. Hirsch, Jr. of Washington, DC; one sister, Jeannette Knudson-Coney of South Dakota. (10) Grandchildren, (8) great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, numerous other loving family members, and many caring friends.
