Alvin Hall

Alvin Hall, 64, of Columbus, GA passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Saturday, April 6, 2024 beginning at 12:00 pm. 

 Alvin was born on December 30, 1959 in Columbus, GA to Nathaniel Hall and Ruby Vaughn Tandy. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, retiring after a long, successful career. Afterwards he worked in maintenance at the Extended Stay Hotel. Alvin was a good man who enjoyed life and being outdoors. Camping, fishing, baseball and football were some of his favorite past times, as well as playing the lottery.  Alvin’s passion, however, was his beloved family and the time they spent together. His mother and his wife had a very special place in his heart, and everyone knew how much he loved them. Felica was the love of his life and he cherished every moment he got to spend with her. Alvin will be greatly missed but will always be remembered with love and the best of memories.

 Ruby Vaughn Tandy, Alvin’s mother, preceded him in death in December 2023. He is survived by his wife Felica Hall; daughters Tameka Wilcox and husband Jonathan of Midland, GA, Brittney White of Winnfield, LA, Whitney Peggins and husband Christopher of Phenix City, AL, Alisha Riggins and husband Gervez of Columbus, GA, and Jada Allen of Columbus, GA; sons Alvin Hall, Jr. of Boston, MA, Lavonte Williams of Winnfield, LA, John Allen and Javonte Allen, both of Columbus, GA; father Nathaniel Hall of Columbus, GA; sisters Dr. Valerie Hall Williams and husband Daniel of Columbus, GA and Rhonda Tandy Pearson of Macon, GA; brother Walter Hall of Columbus, GA; and 17 grandchildren.
