Andrew Noel Mccullar

Andrew Noel McCullar, 88 of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm EST, on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Vance Memorial Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Elder officiating. Interment will follow at Riverdale Cemetery on Monday at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mr. McCullar was born on January 8, 1928 in Jasper, AL son of the late Newton D. McCullar and Dora Harris McCullar.  He served his country in the United States Navy, where he made over 19 trips to the orient.  Mr. McCullar retired from the Civil Service on Ft. Benning as a Quality Assurance Inspector after 30 years of service.  He worked with his wife in the real estate industry for many years.  Mr. McCullar had a passion for cars but his greatest pleasure was helping people and making them happy.

Other than his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie McCullars Sherror and a brother, Newton D. McCullar, Jr.

 He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Helen Hall McCullar of Phenix City, AL and  

many caring friends.
