Annetta Profitt Thomas

Annetta Thomas, 76, of Cusseta, GA passed away, Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital. Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2013 beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST at First Baptist Church Cemetery of Cusseta, with Reverend Kenneth Vanhorn officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, September 27, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. EST at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA. Annetta Thomas was born July 16, 1937 daughter of the late Strawther Profitt and Rosa Henesley Profitt in Dongola, KY. Annetta was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW 5000 Post in Cusseta, GA, She greatly enjoyed gardening and tending to flowers, she was impressive in the kitchen and won numerous awards for her baking talents. Other than her parents Annetta is preceded in death by son, James S. Thomas, and eight brothers and sisters. Annetta leaves behind to cherish her memory, a devoted husband of 59 years, James Martin Thomas, of Cusseta, GA; Daughter, Darlene Thomas Bell, of Meigs, GA; brother Earl Profitt and wife Juanita, of Whitesburg, KY; grandchildren, Michele, Jamie, Sam, Andrew, Brandi, Jared; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
