Annie Joyce Hope

Annie Joyce Mason Hope, 84, of Hamilton, GA passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Fort Walton Medical Center in Fort Walton Beach, FL.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm EDT Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Mark Brown officiating.  Interment will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.  The family will receives friends on Tuesday from 11:30 to 12:30 pm EDT (one hour prior to the service) at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hope was born February 22, 1932 in Atmore, AL to the late Vernon Allen Mason and Eva Lee Strickland Mason.  She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Columbus, she enjoyed the many beautiful flowers that surrounded her, and she loved traveling, animals, and watching birds in the bird houses around their home.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray N. Hope and a brother, Howard Mason.

She is survived by her children, Charlotte Martin and husband Tom of Hamilton, GA, and Debbie Jensen and husband Bill of Milton, FL; siblings, Larue Mason of Pensacola, FL, Besford Mason and wife Billie Jean of Oak Grove, FL, Verna Lee Scott and husband Clayton of Walnut Hill, FL, and Jerry Mason and wife Betty of Bratt, FL.  (4) Grandchildren, Steven Harris, Chris Ann Sandy (Phil), Jeff Martin, and Dana Martin Owens, (7) great grandchildren, Cali Hammock, Brittney Clark, Philip Sandy, Sierra Sandy, Sianna Sandy, Insley Owens, and Bladen Owens, and (4) great great grandchildren, Jayden Vaught, Briella Rivera, Madalyn Clark, and Emma Clark, a very dear friend, Roscoe Grissett, numerous other loving family members and many caring friends.
