Annie Mae Morris

Annie Mae Morris, 88, of Seale, AL passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 in the comfort of her home while surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am EDT Friday, June 24, 2016 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Sammy Turner and Chaplain Dean Knipe officiating.  A private interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens and the family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service on Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Morris was born April 22, 1928 in Borden Springs, AL to the late Alex B. Lorren and Bessie Mae Seigler McGee Rodgers.  She was retired as a Kitchen manager and had work several of large hotels in the local area.  She enjoyed shopping, traveling, tinkering in antiques, spending time with family and fellowshipping during meal times.  She was a member of Seale Baptist Church.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Morris, a step-son, Ronnie Morris, three brothers, J C Lorren , J B McGee, and Jessie McGee and one sister, Gloria Jean McGee.

She is survived by her children, Linda Ann Green and husband Van of East Ridge, TN, Glenda Sue Seawright of Columbus, GA, Sandra Joyce Casey of Seale, AL and Darryl Wayne Belitz and wife Becky of Columbus, GA, one brother, Willie J. McGee and wife Lou of Cedar Town, GA, (14) grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren, many other extended loving family members and many caring friends.
