Annie Mae Walker

Annie Mae Walker, 88, of Ft. Worth, TX went home to meet the Lord on March 13, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EST Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Rev. David Dollar officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, at the funeral home.

Annie Mae was born in Coffee County, Alabama to the late IJ Hartley and Selma Bundy Bloutwell.  Annie Mae married William L. Walker on in December 1970. They loved each other for 49 years.

Annie Mae had a cherished life, she never met a stranger. She loved being around people and loved and worshiped the Lord, God. She was our angel, our rock. She will be forever missed, but never forgotten.

Annie Mae was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Lynn Stuart; father, IJ Hartley; mother, Selma Bundy Boutwell; sisters, Lula Pearl Ward, and Loiuse Whitehead; brothers, Ivy James Hartley, Dewy Hartley, and Louie Hartley.

She is survived by her husband William (Bill) L. Walker of Fort Worth, TX; daughters, Lorraine Berdeaux and husband, Buddy, of Fort Worth, TX, Margie Shelton of Phenix City, AL, Marie White and husband, David, of Phenix City, AL, and Cathy Bruger and husband, Tim, of Fort Worth, TX; sons, Bill Walker and wife, Carol, of Hurst, TX, and Bobby Walker and wife, Cheryl, of Fort Worth, TX; sisters Evelyn Perkins of Phenix City, AL, and Ruthie Meeks of Phenix City, AL; brothers, Pete Hartley of Troy, AL, and Farron Boutwell of Phenix City, AL; 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pall bearers will be grandsons, Matt Merneigh, Zachery White, Joshua Stuart, Nikki Basalo, William Walker, and Carl Shelton.

Honorary pall bearers will be Wayne Wilkes, Kyle Walker, Logan Walker, Jaden Slay, Jonah Slay, Braylon White, Sean Merneigh, Jake Jordan, Cole Bryant, Luke Linden, Ryan Linden, Dennis Carl Shelton, Jr. and Barron Wilkes.
