Arthur "Al" Brittingham

Arthur Lee “Al” Brittingham, Jr., 70, of Columbus, GA passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am EDT Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Vance Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends for 1 hour before the service.

Mr. Brittingham was born September 11, 1945 in Columbus, GA to the late Arthur L. Brittingham, Sr. and Iberia Clower Brittingham. He worked at Swift Spinning for 43 years before he retired. He loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by his son Billy Ray Davis and grandson, Tristan Brittingham.                                    .

He is survived by his loving companion of over 25 years, Virginia Driskell; children, Arty Brittingham and Alecia Miller; sister, Patricia O’Neal husband Paul; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and other extended family.
