Audrey Marie Austin

Audrey Marie Ausitn, 80, of Cusseta, GA passed away Thursday, March 03, 2016.  A memorial service will be held at Cusseta United Methodist Church, Main Street, Cusseta, GA on Saturday, March 12, 2016 beginning at 11:00 A.M. EST, with Pastor Mike Webb  officiating.  The family will receive friends Friday, March 11, 2016 at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. EST.  

Audrey was born February 21, 1936 in Nashville, TN to the parents of the late Robert and Irene Steele.  She was a member of Cusseta United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She retired as the Chattahoochee Probate Court Clerk.  She was also a member of the Fort Benning Lodge Number 278 Eastern Star. 

Other than her parents, Audrey is predeceased by her son, Jonathan Wade Austin; a sister, Wynona Ragland; and a brother, Robert Horace Steele.

Survivors include a loving spouse of over 60 years, Robert Wade Austin; one daughter, Carolyn Marie Staton (Ronnie) of Greenbrier, TN; one son, Jeffrey Alan Austin of Cusseta, GA; David Lynn of Cusseta, GA; and one sister, Yvonne Wolfe of Nashville, TN; one brother, Oscar Barry Steele (Debbie) of Nashville, TN; and five grandchildren:  Amanda Holmes (Donald); Cory Staton, Austin Staton, Cody Austin (Brittney) and Kyle Austin; and seven great grandchildren.
