Mrs. Ava M. Greene

Ava M. Greene, 87, of Smiths Station, AL died Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Piedmont Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 am Monday, September 14, 2020 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.

Mrs. Greene was born December 6, 1932 in Athens, AL, daughter of the late George A. Nave and Rossie Roberts Nave.  She worked as a manager for W.T. Grant and later owned her own bait shop.  Mrs. Green also worked toward the end of her career at Smiths Station Intermediate School in the lunch room.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles E. Greene; two sisters and three brothers.

Mrs. Greene is survived by a son, Anthony C. Greene and wife Sherry of Smiths Station, AL; a sister, Betty Lou Brazer of New Market, AL;  three brothers, Clayton Nave of Athens, AL, George A. Nave of Columbus, GA and Ted Edward Nave of Athens, AL; grandchildren, Ken, Charmaine, Sierra and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Terry Ann, Kala and Karter; several other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
