Barbara Ann Carroll

Barbara Ann Donaldson Carroll, 61, of Phenix City, AL passed away early Monday morning, March 12, 2018 at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta, GA.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm EDT on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Rev. Lynn McManus officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Vance Brooks Funeral Home (Vance Memorial Chapel) in Phenix City.

Barbara was born August 25, 1956 in Phenix City, AL to the late Clendol “Billy” Donaldson and Betty Weatherford Donaldson.  She was retired and had been employed with the Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Court in Columbus, GA.  She was passionate, prideful, and gifted with the ability as very skillful knitter.  She enjoyed gardening, visiting the beach, and enjoyed spending quality time with all her family.  She loved animals, and she was a Christian by faith.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Donaldson.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 25 years, John W. Carroll of Phenix City, AL, two sons, Tye Carroll and wife Daleigh of Ft. Mitchell, AL, and Ryan Carroll and wife Kristen of Smiths Station, AL, one sister, Billie Jean Freeman and husband Marcus of Wetumka, AL; and three grandchildren, Rylee Carroll, Emilee Carroll, and Wyatt Carroll, nieces and nephews, Kimberly Freeman, Tiffany Sutton (Ryan), Jennifer Morris (Phillip), Jed Donaldson, Mason Donaldson, and Tyler Donaldson, numerous other extended loving family members, and many caring friends.
