Barbara "Bobbie" Jean Wortley Hasty

Barbara “Bobbie” J. Horne Wortley Hasty, 82, of Phenix City, AL passed away Friday, September 29, 2017 at Kindred Hospice in Columbus, GA.

She was born October 16, 1934 in Phenix City, AL to her late parent’s, O D and Ethel Orean Jackson Horne. Along with her parents, Mrs. Hasty is preceded in death by her husband’s, Robert J. Wortley, Sr., and Charles H. Hasty, her sisters, Alma Doris Neal, Ethel Louise Russell, Mary M. Brown, Martha Lena Biskup, and a brother, Olean Horne.

She is survived by two sons, Robert J. Wortley, Jr. and wife Nacy, and George Raymond Wortley, one grandson, Robert Michael Wortley; brother, Curtis Horne and wife Bernice, sister, Ruby Vestal, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was a member of Crawford Road Baptist Church, and a member of the Magnolia Sunday School class.  She loved to travel but most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.  Her greatest Love was her grandson Robert and Disney World.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, October 2, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel with Brother Marvin Minton officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
