Barbara Carol Hardy

Barbara Carol Hardy, 82, of Columbus, GA passed away February 3, 2014 in the comfort of her home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Parkhill Cemetery beginning at 3:00 P.M. EST; Pastor Dennis Lacey will be officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 until 3:00 at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA. Barbara Carol Hardy was born August 10, 1931 in Talladega, AL, daughter of the late Claude Limbaugh and Bessie Hurst Limbaugh. Barbara was a cosmetologist for 25 years; she enjoyed her work and developed a loyal customer base over the years. She considered all of her clients friends and loved each one dearly. In her spare time Barbara had many hobbies, she loved playing bingo and shopping. Barbara's greatest joy was her family; she loved spending time with them, and was most happy with a house full of family. Other than her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Norman D. Hardy Sr. and their daughter Vickie Spinks; and husband Joseph Spinks. Survivors include, daughters, Kathy Hardy Mang and companion Shawn, of Columbus, GA, Laura Hardy Edge, of Columbus, GA; son, Norman D. Hardy Jr. and fiancAC. , Sherry, of Columbus, GA; sisters, Annie Ruth Kirby, and husband Britt, of Columbus, GA, Betty Mills Bussey, of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Sherri Graziano Dawes and husband Jimmy Dawes, Jonathan Edge and wife Arin Edge, Bradley T. Williams, Norman D. Hardy III and wife, Tiffany, Matthew Hardy, Michael Spinks and wife, Katie; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Brantley, Raylynn, and Kenleigh; nephew, Joseph Mills, of Columbus, GA. Barbara will be deeply missed; she leaves behind many wonderful memories for her family and friends to cherish for a life time. She will always be remembered as a strong devoted mother, caring sister and loving grandmother.
