Barbara Dunn-Smith Mckeen

Barbara Dunn-Smith McKeen, 86, of Columbus, GA passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at her residence in Columbus.  A funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Friday, June 24, 2016 beginning at 10:00 A.M. EST with Pastor Keith Trumbo officiating.  The interment will conclude the service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. EST.  

Mrs. McKeen was born October 7, 1929 in Columbus, GA to the parents of the late George Clayton Dunn and Victoria Barber Brosius.  She was a member of Columbus First Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was a retired Medical Assistant.

Other than her parents, Mrs. McKeen is predeceased by her loving husband, Howard McKeen; one daughter, Sheila Hill; and a grandson, Paul McKeen, Jr.

Survivors include children:  Lori Clayton Large of Carrollton, GA, Viki Milner of Columbus, GA, Jene’ Greer (Tim) of Phenix City, AL, Althea M. Adams of Columbus,GA and Joyce McDonald of Pine Mountain, GA; Paul McKeen (Shirley) of West Point,GA; thirteen grandchildren:  Ashley Hill Aultman, Jesse Stephen Hill, Zachary Clayton Large, Adam Eugene Large, Summer Leigh Roland, William Jarrod Milner, Leah Erin Hannigan, Scott Greer, Todd McKeen, Brian McKeen, Renae Hoojacker, Kay Mizell and Cindy Jarrell; and sixteen great grandchildren, and many extended family and caring friends.
