Mrs. Barbara Ann Hunter Stevenson

Mrs. Barbara Ann Hunter Stevenson, 69, of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at her home.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Bug Eiland officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stevenson was born March 31, 1952, daughter of the late Elijah E. Hunter and Nellie Faircloth Hunter.  She retired from the City of Phenix City as a long time employee at the golf course.  Mrs. Stevenson enjoyed cooking, Alabama football and trips to the beach.  Above all, she loved spending time with her family.  Mrs. Stevenson was a former member of Temple Baptist Church in Columbus, GA and more recently attended Faith Promise Church in Knoxville, TN.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Henry S. Stevenson of Phenix City, AL; two sons, Jeffery W. Stevenson of Phenix City, AL and Jason K. Stevenson and wife Carisa of Knoxville, TN; nine grandchildren, Kateland, Bryce, Ben, Konnor, Kylie Jo, Jayden, Addie, Sydney and Skyla; one great-grandchild, expected to be born in January; several extended family and friends.
