Barbara J. Pelham

Barbara J. Pelham, 86, of Columbus, GA passed away early Tuesday morning, June 27, 2023, at the Rivertown Center Health Care in Columbus, GA.

Ms. Pelham was born April 7, 1937, in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Otis N. McIntyre and Eva B. Mainor McIntyre. She had served as an LPN nurse for several hospitals in Alabama, Florida, and Texas before retiring. She was a Christian and a Baptist by faith. She enjoyed spending time with all her family and sharing stories and memories with all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Pelham, and six brothers and one sister.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia D. Armstrong and husband Ron of Midland, GA, and Susan M. Sapp and husband Walter of Fortson, GA, one son, Christopher R. Pelham of Baton Rouge, LA, four grandchildren, Teresa Towler (husband William), Timothy Folds (wife Caiti), Barbara L. Pelham, Crystal Martin (husband Conrad), and a special gentleman whom she loved like a son, Brian East, (10) great grandchildren, Ashton Davidson (husband Wesley), Jaden East, Jaida East, Brooklynn L. Folds, Brayden Folds, Rylei Folds, Auburn Folds, Greyson Folds, Danon Rocha and Little Kira, and (6) precious great-great-grandchildren, Nevely Jo, Stetson, Taylor Grace, Neocha, Conrade and Jack, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.

A private entombment will take place at the Lakeside Mausoleum in Lakeview Memory Gardens where she will be laid to rest with her husband, William Earl Pelham who passed away in April of 1993.
