Barbara Jean Page

Barbara Jean Hudson Page, 72, of Seale, AL passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, February 1, 2019 at Bethany Hospice House in Auburn, AL.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Rev. Emory Evans and Rev. Frances Corbin officiating.  A private interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home in Phenix City.

Mrs. Page was born August 3, 1946 in Cuthbert, GA to the late William Hudson and Carolyn Baker Hudson.  She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother who lived spending and sharing special times with her family and especially all her grand and great grandchildren.  She was lady simplicity who loved people and loved witnessing and sharing God’s love for all.  She enjoyed cooking, and gardening, and loved her church family.  She was a member of Faith Temple Assembly of God Church in Phenix City.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, George Clayton Page, one sister, Judy Faircloth, three brothers, Dan Hudson, David Hudson and Larry Hudson, and a precious granddaughter, Melanie Barr.

She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Newman and husband Terry of Seale, AL, son, Gordon Frank Page and wife Sharon of Cusseta, GA, one sister, Janice Gilboy of Bleeker, AL, and a brother, Edward Hudson and wife Sonja of Phenix City, AL; sister-in-law, Lougene Brown and husband Jerry, (5) Grandchildren, Paige Denny (Derek), B J Newman, Chanda Mullican (Michael), Clayton Page, and Stratt Page, (9) great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and many caring friends.
