Barbara Jean Pope

Barbara Jean Pope, 77, of Phenix City, AL passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Columbus Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Tony Pope officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Barbara was born February 26, 1940 in Phenix City, AL to the late Ira and Mae Pope. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by 3 sons, Ronald Grimes, Jackie Grimes and Greg Grimes, sister Ottis Thompson, 2 brothers, Jerry Pope and Billy Ray Pope.

She is survived by her companion of 30 years James L. Price; daughter, Debbie Wynn; son Donald Grimes(Christine); sisters, Helen Pope(Tony) and Myra Chappell(Troy); grandchildren, Grady Woodham(Denise), Lester Wynn and Sarah Wynn(Ryan); great-grandchild, Sophia Woodham; several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving family members, and many caring friends.
