Barbara Kay Westbrook

Barbara Kay “Hill” Westbrook, 72, of Smiths Station, AL, passed away late Sunday night, June 11, 2023, in the comfort of her home while surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm EDT on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Smiths Station Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Smiths Station Baptist Church from 2:00 to 3:00 pm EDT.
Mrs. Westbrook was born July 9, 1950, in Baytown, TX, the daughter of the late Elmer Lloyd Hill and Lilly Juanice Brown Hill. She served for 35 years as a Registered Nurse in both Texas and Alabama. She was a faithful member of Smiths Station Baptist Church, where her passion was serving others as the SSBC Food Pantry director. She was also a member of the prayer team and helped in safety awareness involving many of the church activities. She loved gardening, flowers, nature, animals, and especially her pet dog.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald L. Hill.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 51 years, Richard A. Westbrook of Smiths Station, AL; one daughter, Becky Flowers and husband Chris of Smiths Station, AL; son, Randy Allen Westbrook of Columbus, GA; two precious grandchildren, Joy Flowers, and Cody Flowers and fiancé Madison Fisk; numerous extended family members, church family, and many caring friends.
