Barbara Lee “Morningstar” Smith

Barbara Lee Morningstar Smith, 90, of Phenix City, AL died Monday, July 13, 2020 at her home.

A private committal service will be held in Maryland at a later date.

Mrs. Smith was born June 1, 1930 in Frederick, MD, daughter of the late John Franklin Morningstar, Sr. and Helen Margaret Dixon Morningstar. She worked as a technician in the manufacturing industry until her retirement. Mrs. Smith attended Auburn Heights Baptist Church.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Kendall T. Kinsley and Arla Smith; a sister, Jane Pokorny and two brothers, Irvin Morningstar and John F. Morningstar, Jr.

She is survived by a niece, Helen Louise Stull of Phenix City, AL and a nephew, Phillip Morningstar of Phoenix, MD several other extended family and caring friends.
