Barbara Marie “Till” Marks

Barbara Marie Till Marks, 86, of Phenix City, AL, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA, with Rev. Tom Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Columbus, GA.

Mrs. Marks was born May 17, 1934 in Antioch, MS, daughter of the late Burl Till and Eulah Gilmore Till. She worked in accounting for the Civil Service for many years. Mrs. Marks was a member of Woodland Baptist Church.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur Calvin Marks; four sisters, Elizabeth Hall and Patricia Thomas, Margaret Carnaghie, and Pamela Till.

Mrs. Marks is survived by her son, Scott Marks and wife Lora of Phenix City, AL; one brother, Burl Till, Jr. of TN; a grandchild, Carla Evans and husband William of Phenix City, AL; two great-grandchildren, Jonathan Conner (Tearra), and Jacob Evans; Two great-great-grandchildren, Braxon and Brayden Conner; several other extended family and many caring friends.
