Mr. Barney L. Baker

Mr. Barney L. Baker, 68, of Phenix City, AL passed away Monday, May 10, 2021 at his home.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Lakeview Memory Gardens in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Danny Roberts officiating.  There will be no formal visitation.

Mr. Baker was born July 9, 1952 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Stanley D. Baker and Alice Beatrice Gates Baker.  He worked in the trucking industry most of his career, with both the grocery and textile industries.  Mr. Baker loved fishing and camping with his family.  He was Baptist by faith.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Barry Lane Baker.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Shelia Baker of Phenix City, AL; a son, David L. Baker and wife Christie of Smiths Station, AL; a sister, Donna Marie Baker of Phenix City, AL; grandchildren, Paris Baker and Chase Baker;  great-grandchildren, Carson, Mason, Colton, Elizabeth and Madelynn; several other extended family and friends.
