Montgomery, AL – Benjamin Barrow Starke, 51, of Montgomery, passed away in the arms of our Lord and Savior October 2, 2016, in his home, surrounded by his family.
A celebration of his life will be held at 12:00 noon EST / 11:00 am CST on Wednesday, October 5, at Seale United Methodist Church in Seale, Alabama, with Pastor Eric Smith of Vaughn Forest Church in Montgomery officiating and Reverend Brady Baird of Seale United Methodist Church assisting.
Starke was born September 15, 1965, in Columbus, Georgia, to Warren Thomas Starke and Mary Barrow Starke of Seale. He was employed by the United States Civil Service as a computer engineer at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base in Montgomery. He was a graduate of Glenwood School in Phenix City and of Auburn University, with a degree in computer engineering. He was a member of Vaughn Forest Church in Montgomery.
He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, B. C. and Ruth Starke of Seale and W. O. and Lucile Barrow of Auburn. He is survived by his wife Kimberly and four children, Matthew, Zachary, Aaron, and Rachel, of Montgomery; his mother, his brother Thomas, and his nephews Michael of Seale and James (Ellen) of Charleston, South Carolina; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Nell Bozeman of Montgomery; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Brian and Cristen Bozeman of Montgomery; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Every Tribe Ministries in Montgomery, Alabama.
