Bernice C. Blizzard

Bernice C. Blizzard, 88, of Kingsland, GA passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at her home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 1:00 EST at Vance Memorial Chapel with Rev. Neal Blizzard and Rev. Randy Blizzard will be officiating. Interment will be at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery on Monday, January 27, 2014 at 10:00 EST.

Mrs. Blizzard was born April 27, 1925 in Millville, FL to the late Neal Eadie Connell and Minnie Lee Brock Connell. She was a founding and longtime member of the United Pentecostal Church of Columbus, GA (The Church of Columbus) and Kingsland, GA.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Blizzard, Sr and 5 siblings.

Survivors include 4 sons; John Henry “Butch” Blizzard, Jr and Barbara of Columbus, GA, Neal E. Blizzard and Sandra of Kingsland, GA, Buford L. Blizzard and Nancy of Orlando, FL and Randy P. Blizzard and Karen of Las Vegas, NV; 3 brothers, Carl Nisbet of South Haven, MI, Bobby Connell of Collins, MS and Ray Connell of Westville, FL; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces nephews and extended family.
