Bertha Christine McGuire, 87, of Smiths Station, AL died at her residence on Thursday, October 01, 2020 with family be her side.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, October 05, 2020 in Lakeview Memory Gardens with President James Eiland officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.
Ms. McGuire was born August 6, 1933 in Rock, W. VA daughter of the late Walter L. Taylor and Elizabeth Monk Taylor. She was a nurse for several years, later transitioning to a homemaker where she cared for her family. Ms. McGuire enjoyed going to the Casinos with her friends and was always full of surprises and laughter. We will always cherish the fun times and fond memories of her in our hearts.
Ms. McGuire was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Linda Hunter.
Survivors include her four children, Elizabeth “Bucky” Bibey, Columbus, GA, Bonnie Cranfill, Smiths Station, AL, Edwin “Junior” McGuire (Amy), Smiths Station, AL and Keith McGuire (Amie), Phenix City, AL; five grandchildren, Kevin McGuire (Christy), Darrell Hunter (Heather), Christopher McGuire, Emily McGuire and Luke McGuire; seven great-grandchildren, Megan McGuire, Noah McGuire (Ailana), Holly McGuire, Matthew McGuire, Lilly Hunter, Haley Thomason and Connor Thomason; son-in-law, Jimmy Hunter; loving and caring companion, Joe Richardson; special neighbors, Pat and Shirley; numerous other family members and friends also survive.
