Betty Angelene “Angie” Cameron, 68 of Columbus, GA passed away peacefully Sunday, November 24, 2013, Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, November 27,2013 beginning at 11:00 AM EST at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA, interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home. Angie was born September 7, 1945 daughter of the late Aubrey Johnson and Evelene Bates Johnson in Blakey, GA. Angie enjoyed nature and the outdoors, you could often find her tending to her yard and gardening, she enjoyed feeding the birds alongside of her loved dog Trouble. Angie adored her grandchildren; they brought much joy and happiness into her life. Angie worked for the civil service as an X Ray Technician at Soloman Dental Clinic, in Fort Benning GA. Other than her parents Angie is preceded in death by twin sisters Hellen and Ellen Johnson. Survivors include, her devoted husband of 49 years, Jack William Cameron of Columbus, GA; three daughters, Deborah Reynolds and husband Mike, of Columbus, GA, Stacey Baker of Shiloh, GA, Denise Pratt and husband Paul of Columbus, GA; sister, Patricia Luker and husband John, of Columbus, GA; brother, Richard Johnson, of Pueblo, CO; grandchildren, Jason Brewer, Melissa Cofield, Jarrod “Bo” Baker, Annie McDaniel, Davey Ridenour, Jack Ridenour, Angie Pratt, and Chris Pratt; and five great-grandchildren Angie also leaves behind ten nieces and nephews, along with many loving extended family members and caring friends.
