Betty Ann Stroud

November 5, 1957 — July 30, 2016

Betty Ann Davis Stroud, 58, of Smiths Station, AL, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at the Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm EST, on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City, AL. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm Tuesday, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stroud was born on November 5, 1957 in Samson, AL daughter of the late J. L. Davis and Betty Sue Cordell Davis.  She worked for Fieldcrest Mill for many years and was a member of the Torch Hill Road Church of Christ.  Mrs. Stroud loved spending time with her husband hunting, fishing, gardening, boating and just being outdoors.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Larry Davis.

Mrs. Stroud is survived by her husband of 38 years, Donnie K. Stroud of Smiths Station, AL; one sister, Dianne Jerkins and husband Dwight of Columbus, GA and a brother, James Junior Davis and wife Pam of Phenix City, AL several other family members and friends.
