Betty Benefield Maddox

Betty Benefield Maddox, of Columbus, GA, passed away July 14, 2014. A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, July 17, 2014 beginning at 1:00 P.M. at Parkhill Cemetery. Pastor Dennis Lacy, Pastor Robert French and Pastor Chuck Griffith will be officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA, from 11:00 until 1:00 P.M. EST. Betty Benefield Maddox is preceded in death by her husband Maurice Maddox and her mother Cleo Lolley. Betty was a beautician by trade and also retired from Kemet Electronics. She was a long time member of North Highland Assembly of God. Survivors include; Sons, Larry Benefield (Patti) of Gulfport, MS, Danny Benefield (Debbie) of Gulfport, MS, Tim Benefield of Gulfport, MS; Daughter, Patti Greene (Keith) of Columbus, GA; step children, Greg Maddox (Kelli) of Columbus, GA, Linda Bryant (Glen) of Columbus, GA, and Sharon Pellet (Scott) of Alabaster, AL; brothers, Bobby Pridgen (Beth) of Columbus, GA, Jimmie Pridgen (Margaret) of Leesburg, FL; sisters, Lois Hyde of Columbus, GA and Vicky Sanders (Clifford) of Crawford, AL. Mrs. Maddox also leaves behind six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and many loving extended family members and caring friends. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice, the staff of Magnolia Manor West Three, and their administration for the loving care and kindness shown to their mother.
