Betty J. Sanders

Betty Jean Day Sanders, 73, of Phenix City, AL died at Columbus Piedmont, Midtown, Columbus, GA on Sunday, June 20, 2021.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Sanders was born October 24, 1947, in Columbus, GA daughter of the late Gene M. Day and Nanette Daniels Day. She worked as an Accountant for many years in the area. Ms. Betty loved to travel the country with her husband, James Sanders, and meeting new people. She never seemed to meet a stranger either, often making lasting friendships. Ms. Betty and her family were long time members and actively involved in Ladonia Baptist Church. We will always smile when we think of all the happy times we shared with her while she was with us.
Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Sanders and a brother, Larry Day.
Survivors include her son, Todd Thomley, (Christi), Phenix City, AL; sister, Nancy McElveen (Erskin) and sister-in-law, Cheryl Daugherty Day; three grandchildren, Landon and Austin Partin and Madison Sanders; several other family members and friends.
