Betty Jean Davis

Betty Jean Digby Davis, 86, of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully early Monday morning, February 20, 2017 at Gentiva Hospice at Franciscan Woods in Columbus, GA while surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am EST Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Mitch Watts officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home.

Mrs. Davis was born February 7, 1931 in Phenix City, AL to the late Roy M. Digby, Sr. and Lottie Newsome Digby.  She was retired from Walmart in Phenix City with 25 years of service.  Her passion was spending quality time with great grandchildren.  She was a Baptist by faith.  Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Macon Davis, two sisters, and two brothers.

She is survived by one daughter, Tracey Davis Reeves and husband David of Auburn, AL, son, Scott Davis of Atlanta, GA; (4) grandchildren, Chasity Simmons (James), Zachary Wambles, David Reeves (Jennifer), and Kristy Walker (Dustin), (12) great grandchildren, Natalie, Brylee, Olivia, Christine, Christopher, Gracelynn, Austin, Tabitha, Taylor, Saren, Deklyn, and Shane, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
