Betty Jean Pollard

Betty Jean Pollard, 89, of Phenix City, AL passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at her home.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 pm EDT Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Rev. Grant Parker officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service.

Mrs. Pollard was born June 30, 1928 in Sandwood, AL to the late Aaron and Amorette Green. Her love was family, caring for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Pollard and 8 siblings.

She is survived by her daughter Connie Burell and husband Johnny of Phenix City and Philip Pollard and partner Lola Holley of Phenix City; grandchildren, Christopher Burell and partner Sean Selman, Sheri Nishimura and husband Kevin and Philip Pollard II; great-grandchildren, Kaila Nishimura and Thaddeus Nishimura; numerous other loving family members and many caring friends.
