Mrs. Betty Sue Johnson Tucker

Mrs. Betty Sue Johnson Tucker, 83, of Salem, AL passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at her home in Salem, AL.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL, with Rev. Jeffrey Paul Pritchard officiating.  There will be no formal visitation.  There will be a private interment at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery at a later date.

Mrs. Tucker was born April 12, 1939 in Enterprise, AL, daughter of the late Leroy Johnson and Lonie White Johnson.  She worked for many years in the textile industry for Swift Mills.  Mrs. Tucker enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with her family.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter B. Tucker and a brother, Harlon Johnson.

She is survived by three sisters, Ruth Greene of Phenix City, AL, Bobbie Glover of Valdosta, GA and Peggy Scott of Phenix City, AL; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
