Betty Toland

Betty Banks Toland, 70, of Columbus, GA passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019, at Lee’s Personal Assisted Living in Lanett, AL.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am EST, Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Barry Danner officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 am EST, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Toland was born February 28, 1949 in Americus, GA, daughter of late Lester Banks and Birdie Lee Gamble Banks.  She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.  Mrs. Toland was a long time member of the First Assembly of God Church in Phenix City, AL

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Ronald C. Toland; two brothers, two sisters and a great-grandson, Kaysen Damren.

She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Vargo and husband Michael of Smiths Station, AL and Juanita Toland and husband Randy Forsyth of Columbus, GA; a sister, Ruby Barron and  husband Dan of Phenix City, AL; a sisters-in-law, Curtis Marie Banks of Phenix City, AL and Maebell Naiper of Jacksonville, FL; brother-in-law, Randy Toland and wife Marlene of Cataula, GA; grandchildren, Ashley Ticknor and husband Chris of Phenix City, AL and Randy Forsyth, Jr. of Columbus, GA; great-grandchildren, Bryan Damren, Jr., Harley Damren, Rory Ticknor, Lily Ticknor and Karter Forsyth; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
