Billie Dove Phillips

Billie Dove Phillips, 86, of Fortson, GA passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at her residence.  A funeral service will be held at Chapel of the Pines in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Monday, February 18, 2019 beginning at 11:00 AM (EST) with Pastor Brad Parker officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service also at the Chapel of the Pines.

Mrs. Phillips was born on January 27, 1933 in Columbus, GA to the late Marshall Nebb and Ida Pearl Cope.  She attended Maranatha Baptist Church in Columbus where she will be greatly missed.  Camping and fishing were among her favorite things to do, as well as creating beautiful floral arrangements.  Mrs. Phillips was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Other than her parents, Mrs. Phillips is preceded in death by a daughter, Shelia Phillips.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 68 years, James Phillips; son, Randy Phillips of Columbus; sisters, Joan Lem and husband, Jimmy of Fayetteville, GA and Gloria Dutton of Panama City, FL; Danny Cope and wife, Haley of Resaca, GA; three grandchildren, Randy Phillips, Jr. and wife, Lavora of Jemison, AL, Mallory Murdock and Jonathan Phillips and wife, Elizabeth all of Columbus, GA; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Evie Phillips.
