Bishop Anthony

Bishop Anthony, 88, a resident of Seale, AL died Thursday, August 24, 2017 at home on the family farm in Seale.

Funeral services will be held 6:00 pm Wednesday evening, August 30, 2017 where his ashes will be spread in the lake.

Bishop was born March 7, 1929 in Hurtsboro, AL the son of Henry Linfield Anthony from Enon, AL and Addie McCalla Anthony of Lumpkin, GA. He was a 1949 graduate of Seale High School and a graduate of Auburn University in 1956. Also, a Navy Veteran and served in Kwajalein Atoll and the Aleutians in Alaska in 1949.

In 1976, Bishop founded the Possum Trot BarBQ in Seale which was home of the Original Possum Races where fun was had by all.

Survivors include his loving companion of 30 years, Kim Diggs of Seale, Al; 3 boys, Butch of Seale, AL, Tom and Ann of Seagrove Beach, FL and Dennis and Lawanna of St. Marys, GA; grandchildren, Misha and Aaron of Portland, OR, Heather of St. Marys, GA and Maggie Alabama Anthony Chanin of Florence, AL.
