Blanche Tillery Skoglund Anderson, 85, of Smiths Station, AL passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, January 4, 2017 at Parkwood Heath Care in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm EST Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City with Pastor Randy Comer officiating. A private interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Ms. Anderson was born June 17, 1931 in Columbus, GA to the late Richard Lee Tillery and Lucretia Eve Dimon Tillery. She was retired from Civil Service at Fort Benning with 31 years of service. She enjoyed and loved spending quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was attending River of Life Church in Phenix City. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Deborah Sue Skoglund.
She is survived by her son, Daniel Skoglund and wife Venetia of Smiths Station, AL, one sister, Florie Mae Bush of Fortson, GA, one grandson, Ian Skoglund and wife Amy, and two precious great grandchildren, Madelyn and Makenna, two nieces, Brenda Joyce Bush, and Marsha Ann Olbon and husband Joe, aunt Jessie Lee Simmons, numerous other extended family members and many caring friends.
