Mrs. Bobbie Knowles Brown

Mrs. Bobbie Knowles Brown, 65, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Calvary Tabernacle Church in Smiths Station, AL with Rev. Jammie Holloway officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, (EST) one hour prior to the service, at the church in Smiths Station, AL.

An additional service and interment will be held at Memory Chapel in Tuscaloosa, AL on Thursday January 27, 2022.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm one hour prior to the service.  Pall bearers will be Justin McLaughlin, Matthew McLaughlin, Duncan McLaughlin, Austin Walker and David Rubio.

Mrs. Brown was born September 12, 1956 in Tuscaloosa, AL daughter of the late Doyle B. Knowles and Joe Ann Watkins Knowles.  She was a Registered Nurse at Alacare/Encompass Health for 26 years and at Amedisys for the last 2 years.  Mrs. Brown loved her work and was a member of the Honor Society of Nursing – Sigma Theta Tau.  She enjoyed gardening, crafts and traveling with her late husband.  Bobbie was a loving sister, aunt, nurse and friend with a caring heart. She brought a smile to everyone she met and loved unconditionally. Additionally, she was an avid University of Alabama football fan.  Mrs. Brown, for many years, attended Valley View Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, AL.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jeffrey Alan Brown and a brother, Billy Knowles.

She is survived by three sisters, Terri McLaughlin of Tuscaloosa, AL, Lynne Rogers (Ron) of Salem, AL and Trish Knowles of Smiths Station, AL; a special uncle, Robert “Shorty” Watkins and wife Bette Rae of Tuscaloosa, AL.   Mother-in-law, Mary Head (Jimmy), Phenix City, AL, Father-in-law, Thomas Brown Sr. (Linda) of Jonesboro, GA; a sister-in-law, Jenny Dunlap (Robby), Manchester, GA; two brothers-in-law, David Brown (Sandy), Gainesville, GA and Thomas Brown (Lisa), Manchester, GA, and very special nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
