Bobbie Jean Fendel

Bobbie Jean Fendel, 65, of Phenix City, AL, passed away Thursday morning at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.

A funeral service will be held at 4;30 pm EDT, TODAY, September 10, 2017, at Vance Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 3:00 until 5:00 pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel. (Weather conditions tomorrow have prompted this decision.)

Mrs. Fendel was born in Ft. Benning, GA, the daughter of Barbara Brown Bixler. Bobbie spent her early years in Columbus before moving with her family as the military reassigned them. After getting married she raised her children in St. Louis, MO and later moved back home to Phenix City. Bobbie worked at Phenix Girard Bank for over 15 years.

She is preceded in death by her father, Harvey Jefferson Bixler and a brother, Jeff Bixler.

Other than her mother she is survived by two children, Stephen Fendel and Karrie Frey, husband William, both of Atlanta, GA; sister, Lori Bixler Bellerue of Phenix City, AL; brother, Paul Bixler, wife Stacey of Buffalo, NY; two grandchildren, Elijah Frey and Delilah Frey; nieces, nephews, extended family and many caring friends.
