Bobby Joe Hanner, 68, of Phenix City, AL formerly of Bloomington, IN, died on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Piedmont Midtown Columbus, Columbus, GA.
A Private Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Bobby was born June 06, 1956, in Bloomington, IN son of the late Robert Lee “Bob” Hanner and Lida Ann Wilson Hanner. He was a heavy equipment operator for Sailsbury Corp. for many years. Mr. Bobby was a private man who would move the world for his grandchildren. They meant everything to him. Family to him was more valuable than any worldly riches. We will miss him in our daily routine, but he is forever in our hearts.
Mr. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Lida Ann Hanner, a brother, Billy Hanner and a special grandson, Bryan Keith Pierce, Jr.
Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Lynn Jones and his favorite son-in-law, Evan Jones, Phenix City, AL, both of whom took care of him; two children of his heart, Amy Marie Gregory and Michael DeWayne Hoene, who he loved as his own; two sisters, Judy Hanner and Barbra Smoot; three brothers, Jerry Lee Hanner, Jackie Dean Hanner and John Wayne “Jr.” Hanner; seventeen grandchildren, Jason Lee Parson, II, Dessika Lynn “Precious” Rodman-Jones, Dakota Lane Little, Chloey Marie Jones, Cheyenne Nichole Hignight, LaiLove Serenity Faith Livingston, Elijah D. Eugene Livingston, Anthony Joseph Gaige Martin-Livingston, Kolton Michael Allgood, Dwayne Hoene, Cody Hoene, Skyler Gilreath Carrol, Grayson Gilreath, Brian Robert Sigman, Aaron Sigman, Bailey Lawrence and Jaymon Gilreath; many great-grandchildren, and others who also called him Paw Paw, mother of Jessica, Rhonda Flanders; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
