Bobby William Cook, Sr., 68, of Phenix City, AL, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM EST, on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at Lakewood Baptist Church with Rev. Shannon Poole and Rev. Stephen Paquette officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm EST at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City, AL.
Mr. Cook was born on July 18, 1948, in Phenix City, AL son of the late William Boyd Cook and Frances Yeamons Cook. He worked his entire career in sales for Sears, Harvey Lumber Company and Daniel Appliance. Mr. Cook’s passion was officiating for the Alabama Athletic Association. He served the association for over 25 years as a referee. Mr. Cook was also a member of Lakewood Baptist Church, where he sang in the Amen Choir.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Diane Cook
He is survived by his loving wife, Penny Cook of Phenix City, AL; two daughters, April Parker and husband Shannon of Phenix City, AL and Angela Myers and husband Jason, of Phenix City, AL; one son, Bobby William Cook, Jr. and wife Jenna of Phenix City, AL; one brother, Richard Cook, Sr. and wife Pam of Phenix City, AL; five, grandchildren, Alex and Evan Parker, Kaytlyn Myers, Jessica Griggs and Julieanne Griggs, many other extended family members and many caring friends.
