Bryant “Bug” Homer Mulkey, III, of Salem, AL passed away Tuesday morning, June 4, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA.
Bug was born June 17, 1968 in Albany, GA to Bryant Homer Mulkey, Jr. and Sally Ann Hull Mulkey. He was employed with the City of Altamonte Springs, Florida, and he had also served as a Correctional Officer for the State of Florida. In his younger years, Bug served as a volunteer firefighter for the Smiths Station Volunteer Fire Department, and for DeBary, FL. In high school, Bug loved playing football for the Smiths Station Panthers. He loved his family and friends, he loved helping people, and supporting his community, and he loved the opportunity as a fire fighter and understood how precious life was and the passion for life. He engaged in many home projects building and making his home a better place for his family. Bug was a Baptist by faith.
He is survived by his parents, Bryant Homer Mulkey, Jr, and Sally Ann Mulkey; his three children, Nicole Mulkey, Bryant “BJ” Homer Mulkey, IV, and Wyatt Allen Mulkey, one sister, Georgianna Howley and husband Brian, two brothers, Charles Severance and wife Renee, and Anson Mulkey and wife Lisa, and two precious grandsons, Julian “JB” Zambrano, and Bryant Homer Mulkey, V, the mother of their children, Sherry Johnson, and his former wife and friend, Amanda Mulkey, several nieces, and nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.
His family plans to hold a private celebration of life memorial service at his home in the Salem / Smiths Station community.
