CPO (Ret) Carl James Danielson, 77 of St. Cloud, FL passed away early Wednesday morning at his daughter’s residence in Smiths Station, AL.
Funeral services for Mr. Danielson will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City on Tuesday, March 12th at 11:00 am EDT with Bro. Danny Roberts officiating the service followed by interment with Military Honors at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with others who have proudly served our country. A visitation time has been arranged on Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm EDT at the funeral home in Phenix City for family and friends to pay their respects and offer support during this time of loss.
Born November 16, 1946, in San Antonio, TX, Mr. Danielson was the son of the late Carl J. Danielson and Ruth Marie Ritchie Danielson. His legacy includes serving our nation honorably in the United States Navy for 23 years and retiring with dignity followed by employment at John Deere. He found joy in fishing, boating, nature, animals, woodworking, and painting. Mr. Danielson attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in St. Cloud, FL.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jerry C. Danielson, and Danny R. Danielson.
He is survived by his daughter, Richie D. Kincaid, (Pnut), of Smith Station, AL; son, Corey J. Danielson (Charesa) of Phenix City AL; grandchildren, Cody R. Dykes (Haley), Courtney M. Dykes, Colton J. Danielson, Bailey G. Danielson; great-grandchildren, Kinsley M. Dykes, Kolby P. Dykes, Brantley L. Dykes, and Blakely L. Dykes; great-nephew, Danny R. Danielson; cousin, Wanda D. Morpeth (Dr. Fred Morpeth) and their children, Brice and Preston; and many caring friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31909 as a tribute to CPO (Ret) Carl James Danielson.
