Carneilous “Jim” Warren, Jr., 89, of Phenix City, AL passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm EST Friday, February 3, 2017 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City. Interment with full Military Honors will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Warren was born November 30, 1927 in Union City, TN to the late Carneilous Warren, Sr. and Ima Jean Warren. He was retired and proudly served our country in the United States Army. He also had worked as a technician in maintenance for several of the major motels in the Columbus area. He was a member of the American Legion Post 135 in Phenix City and enjoyed reading Louis Amour Western books and watching western movies. He also enjoyed tinkering and doing yard projects. He was Baptist by faith. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, and two step-sons, Theodore Armstrong, and Michael Armstrong.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Audrey Ellen Barfield Warren, daughter, Patty Jean Warren Holsey, son, Harry Johnny Warren, step-children, April Rosemary, Gerald Franklin Armstrong and wife Mary, Elizabeth Ann Gilmore and husband Preston, and Donna Gail Turner and husband Randy; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other extended loving family members.
