Mrs. McCray was born December 10, 1949 in Columbus, OH daughter of the late William Smith and Cora Turner Michaels. She had retired from Dolly Madison after many years of service. Mrs. McCray then joined the team at IHOP working for over 25 years until just recently. She loved Auburn Football and all that comes with being a fan. A hobby of Ms. Carolyn was growing flowers and vegetables for her family and friends. She also looked forward to trips to the beach and the mountains with her family on a regular basis. Ms. Carolyn also enjoyed fishing and country cooking on a regular basis. A recently discovered activity for Ms. Carolyn has been internet coloring books. She has completed over 400 of them. While all of these things were enjoyable to her, what brought her the greatest joy in life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We will miss her and all the love, fun and happy times, but she is forever etched on our hearts.
Mrs. McCray was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jimmy Smith, step-daughter, Dana Sulzer and a great-grandchild, Konner Flowers.
