Celia A. East

Celia A. East, 71, of Phenix City, AL, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2018 at her residence surrounded by family.

Cryptside services will be held at 2:00 pm EST, on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Mausoleum at Lake View Memory Gardens with Pastor Jimmie Hobbs officiating, according to Vance Brooks Memorial Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until 1:45 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. East was born on June 29, 1947 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late John Allred and Ruth Williams Allred Lolley.  She retired after many years of service with the ALFA Ins. as the Office Manager. Mrs. East was an active member of Bethany Baptist Church for many years, especially enjoying her Sunday School Class. We will remember her as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Other than her father, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Odis East.

She is survived by her mother, Ruth Williams Allred Lolley of Smiths Station, AL, two sons, Richard East and his wife, Susan, Smiths Station, AL, Jeff East and his wife, Kim, Columbus, GA; two siblings, Joan Helms and her husband, Frank, and Leonard Allred and his wife, Gale all of Smiths Station, AL; two granddaughters, Taylor Howard and her husband, Zach, and Tanner East; three great-grandchildren, Asher Howard, Bowen Howard and Cooper Howard; several nieces and nephews also survive.
