Charles Brown passed away peacefully Thursday, January 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Charles “Charlie” Brown was born February 7, 1934, in New York and later in life moved to Phenix City, Alabama, where he lived until his passing. He was a long-haul truck driver for many years and loved to tell people about his love for trucks and interstate exits. Papa Charlie is preceded in death by his parents; son, Floyd; daughter, Reba; grandson, Brad and two brothers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Lillie Brown; two daughters, Charolette (Lonnie), Sherry (Harry); three sons, Ronnie, Mike (Sandie), Roger (Jennifer); several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great- grandson. He was known for being a pillar of peace and calmness in his exceptionally large family. He spent most of his time watching tv, playing solitaire, and humming old tunes. Papa Charlie was a great family man and devoted member of his church, Emmanuel Baptist. He will be missed immensely. We find peace knowing he is with his Heavenly Father, and we will see him again one day.
